When you submit your assignment, other learners in the course will review and grade your work. They will evaluate based on the following questions:
Is there a wireframe image for the design of the Home screen, upon which the actual screen in the app is based?
Are you greeted with an Onboarding screen when the app is opened for the first time, which prompts you to enter your personal details?
Does the Onboarding screen contain three pages and feature a Next button for moving between them?
Does the layout of the Home screen contain the following sections? header , hero , menu breakdown and the food menu list .
When accessed, is the Profile screen populated with the data you entered during onboarding?
Are saved changes in the Profile screen retained when the app is restarted?
Does clicking the Log out button clear all data from the Profile screen?
Does the app feature stack navigation that allows you to access the previous screen using the Back button?
Does the hero section contain a brief description of Little Lemon restaurant and a search bar?
Does the menu breakdown section contain a bar featuring selectable menu categories?
Does the food menu list section display a summarized view of the menu items?
Can you suggest any ways in which this app could be improved?
You'll also need to give feedback on and grade the assignments of two other learners using the same criteria.
Your submission will consist of two parts: An image that features the wireframe you constructed in the design phase, and your app project files that will allow a reviewer to run your app.
The wireframe image might appear as in the following example:
Keep in mind that the Home screen should adhere to the general layout illustrated in the image below:
In the actual app, the Home screen should appear similarly to the following image:
The Onboarding and Profile screens might appear like so:
Your project will be built using Xcode, but your code will be stored in a GitHub repository.
When you are happy that the code is working and you have tested the project, you must perform the following steps to make the project available for your peers to review.
Because your peers will have to review your wireframe too, you need to export it from Figma. To do this, select the relevant frame, click on Export under the Design tab of the right-hand panel, select JPG as the output format and specify an export destination.
Add and commit the JPG wireframe to your Github repository.
Click on the My submission tab.
Provide a Project Title , for example, iOS developer capstone project.
Paste the URL of the GitHub repository that contains your capstone project code.
Once you have submitted your app, you are required to review two of your peers’ submissions. You can view the peers that you need to review in the “Peers to review” section.
You need to download their zipped folders and unzip them. Open the app project files in your React Native development environment. The wireframe image can be viewed with any photo viewing software.
The focus of your feedback should be on the presentation and functionality of the app.
Follow the prompts and look for the expected output. If you notice any errors in the functionality of any of the elements of the Little Lemon app, you will have the opportunity to provide guidance to your peers on how they might fix the error.
An example of good feedback would be:
“Fantastic work on the menu app. I particularly like how you [positive], [positive], and [positive]. One way to further improve the app is [opportunity for improvement]. You can do this by [how to improve]. Once again, fantastic work on the menu app. Looking forward to the great apps you will build in the future.”
"When I clicked on the button for the ‘Desserts’ category, the list changed to display only the dessert items, as expected. However, I noticed that the button did not give any visual indication of being selected. I would recommend having the button change when selected."
